Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about RigBook

What is RigBook?

RigBook is a community app for off-road enthusiasts. It lets you record your off-road routes with GPS tracking, monitor your vehicle's tilt angles (roll and pitch) in real time, mark obstacles and points of interest along the way, and share your adventures with the community.

Who is RigBook for?

RigBook is built for anyone who loves off-road driving — rock crawlers, overlanders, 4x4 enthusiasts, expedition vehicle owners, and anyone who enjoys exploring trails and terrain. Whether you're a weekend trail rider or a seasoned off-roader, RigBook helps you track, document, and share your adventures.

What features does RigBook offer?

RigBook offers live GPS tracking with precise coordinates and telemetry, real-time tilt monitoring (roll and pitch angles) to keep you safe on extreme terrain, trail markers for logging obstacles, water crossings, and points of interest, and track sharing so you can share your routes with friends or the community via a public link.

Is RigBook free?

RigBook will offer both free and premium tiers. Right now, during the testing phase, we're giving away lifetime PRO memberships for free to early testers who help us with feedback. The basic version of the app will always be free to use.

What platforms is RigBook available on?

RigBook is being developed for iOS and Android. The mobile app is where the magic happens — GPS tracking, tilt monitoring, and obstacle logging all use your phone's sensors. A web version with track browsing and account management is planned for the future.

How does tilt monitoring work?

RigBook uses your phone's built-in sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to measure the roll and pitch angles of your vehicle in real time. You'll see live readings on screen while driving. All tilt data is recorded along with your GPS track for later review.

Can I share my tracks with others?

Yes! Every track you record can be shared via a unique public link. Anyone with the link can view your route on a map, see the distance and duration, and get a prompt to download the RigBook app for full details. It's a great way to share trails with friends or your off-road community.

How can I get early access?

You can sign up on our homepage at rigbook.app. We're currently running an early-bird program — the first testers get a lifetime PRO membership for free in exchange for feedback. If those spots are taken, you'll be placed on the waiting list and notified as soon as RigBook launches.
